Hell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS
Academy-Award nominated filmmaker Sebastian Junger and Emmy winner Nick Quested chronicle Syria’s descent into the unbridled chaos that allowed the rise of the Islamic State. Pulling from nearly 1,000 hours of visceral footage, they capture the Syrian war’s harrowing carnage, political and social consequences, and human toll, while painting an alarming picture of the west’s role in the creation of ISIS.
In a world where no one feels safe from the reach of radicalism and global terrorism, Sebastian Junger examines the failed state of Syria through the lens of his own experience. The violence that has produced millions of refugees flooding into Europe and widespread fear throughout the world is not an isolated civil war. It’s part of a geopolitical cycle. The root of all fear lies in the unknown, but within the context of Junger’s lifework, there is much to be revealed about Syria and the business of the Islamic State.

Armenian Genocide: 100 Years Later
1915: After a succession of defeats, the Ottoman Empire entered the First World War. The state, which had already lost 80% of its European territory, collapsed. Nationalist ideology won over the Ottoman elite, revealing internal tensions across the Empire. The Armenians, who had been established in Eastern Anatolia for 3,000 years, rapidly became the enemy. Between April 1915 and July 1916, more than one million of them were deported and massacred. This was the first genocide in a century that would see more than its fair share. In Turkey, discussion of the subject has always been refused and concealed, the use of the word “genocide” forbidden. However, it is from within Turkish society itself that voices are now calling to be heard. This documentary provides a mouthpiece for two key people that could not be further apart : Hasan Cemal, a Turk, and grandson of one of the perpetrators; and Fetiye Cetin, a Turkish Armenian and granddaughter of one of the victims. Together, they will lift the curtain on this bloody page in history, and speak of the urgent need for truth.

A Very British Deterrent
With Trident renewed for another generation, A Very British Deterrent tells the story of the remarkable events, eye-watering costs, power relationships and secret deals done half a century ago to secure Britain's very first submarine-launched nuclear missiles.
In today's turbulent world, it is a story that is more relevant than ever. At the height of the Cold War, a series of political and technical crises came close to leaving Britain without a nuclear weapon of its own. In a time of unprecedented international tension and with the world locked in a terrifying nuclear arms race, one small loch in Scotland became a crucial bargaining chip to keep Britain in the nuclear game.
Using the personal letters of prime ministers and presidents, eye-witness accounts and once-secret documents, this film explores how the British prime minister Harold Macmillan seized every opportunity to further Britain's nuclear ambitions, was prepared to trade a Scottish base for a new American weapon, and even jeopardised the crucial Anglo-American relationship to keep Britain an independent nuclear power.

Hillsborough
Hillsborough is an in-depth, moving account of Britain's worst sporting disaster, in which 96 men, women and children were killed, hundreds injured and thousands traumatised.
Beginning with that fateful day, 15 April 1989, the film details the horror of the tragedy, told through the experiences of those directly involved: fans, survivors, family members and police officers. Many speak publicly for the first time.
It captures the horror of the crush on the terraces, revealing the prejudices held by the police towards football fans. It exposes the police commanders' abject failure in leadership as the tragedy unfolded, and their deceit and determination to deflect responsibility for their failures in crowd management onto those who survived.
The documentary exposes the lack of dignity shown to bereaved families as they arrived in Sheffield to identify their loved ones laid out in body bags on a gymnasium floor. It considers the impact of the orchestrated vilification of fans in the media and, as a consequence, their public condemnation. By interviewing those involved, it recounts the 27-year campaign for justice fought on behalf of the 96 who died.

McCullin
The documentary shows how Don McCullin created some of the latter twentieth-century's most iconic images of man's inhumanity to man. To many, Don McCullin is the greatest living war photographer, often cited as an inspiration for today's photojournalists. For the first time, McCullin speaks candidly about his three-decade career covering wars and humanitarian disasters on virtually every continent and the photographs that often defined historic moments. Working at a critical time in global photojournalism, he witnessed the change of ethos to publishing and editorial freedom for newspapers to print what they wanted, free from constraints of advertisers. He brought the impact and reality of human conflict to the general reader, going on war assignments sometimes with only twenty rolls of film.He was shooting with a respect for image now disappearing from the digital age; and we have shot our film on 16mm in order to compliment his work.

One Day In Auschwitz (2015)
Auschwitz-Birkenau was designed to kill. Four gas chambers murdered thousands at a time, belching out smoke and human ashes. Starvation, thirst, disease, and hard labor reduced the average lifespan to less than three months. More than 1-million people perished in the largest German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.
Seventy years after her liberation, Kitty Hart-Moxon makes a final return to Auschwitz-Birkenau to walk among the crumbling memorial with students Natalia and Lydia, who, at 16, are the same age now as she was then. As Kitty tells them her story of daily existence, themes begin to emerge: the ever-present threat of death, resilience, friendship, human strength, resisting the Nazis' constant lethal intent, and living like an animal while still remaining human. Natalia and Lydia ask questions; Kitty provides answers, passing her legacy to the next generation.

Churchill's Betrayal of Poland
The mysterious death of General Sikorski
What really happened on the 4th of July, 1943 in Gibraltar?
The film examines Sikorski's death and shows that there is little doubt that the crash in July of 1943 was an assassination attempt, in which the Russian or British intelligence and possibly even Stalin and Churchill are not entirely uninvolved. Detailed re-enactment, archival footage, interviews and stunning cinematography of the landscape of Gibraltar carry the film. Krakow, 2008: The body of one of Poland's most important statesmen is exhumed - General Wladyslaw Sikorski, Prime Minister of the Polish government in exile during World War II. His life was lost at sea on the 4th of July 1943, sixteen seconds after takeoff aboard a Liberator plane that mysteriously crashed. 70 years later the Polish prosecutors continue to investigate the case, which remains to this day an unsolved crime in history. The suspicion is murder. But who is the perpetrator? The plane crashed in British territory. The British claim it was an accident, but the files associated with the case have been classified until 2041.
